FAQ

Q:  Is the name Plagido's new?
A: It is.  We recently decided to change our name due to fact that it
it could possibly infringe on a previously trademarked name.

Q:  How long has Plagido's been making wine?
A:  Plagido's formally opened on August 1st, 2007.  However, the family
that owns Plagido's has been making wine for personal consumption
for more than four generations.

Q:  What is the Outer Coastal Plain?
A: The Outer Coastal Plain American Viticultural Area (AVA) covers over 2.25 million acres in Southeastern New Jersey and includes more than 20 wineries and commercial vineyards.   Vineyards within the AVA are characterized by relatively flat or low hills with well-drained sandy or sandy
loam soils of low to moderate fertility – quite favorable to grape growing.

Q:  Do you offer port style wines?
A:  Yes.  Currently we have four different port style wines.

Q:  Do you do tasting parties?
A:  Yes.  The parties usually consist of lite fare and a tour.  Please
contact us for more information and pricing.

Q:  What is the most rewarding part of owning a winery?
A:  It sounds glamorous but, the fact is that it is a labor of love.  The best
part is watching people truly enjoy and appreciate something that we  nurtured through every stage of production.
